Bangaram is a block-shaped reef formation of the Aminidivi Islands, situated 8 km northeast from Agatti and 29 km southeast from the Peremul Par reef.
Like many of the reefs of the region, Bangaram contains extensive broad back-reef slopes; in the case of Bangaram these are prominent in the south, and slope to a deeper lagoon basin in the north. There are four small islands on the reef — the two largest (Bangaram and Tinnakara) lie on the edge of the lagoon basin, and the smaller two (Parali-1 and Parali-ll) are located on the northeast reef perimeter.
Bangaram is connected by a shallow submarine ridge to the island and reef of Agatti (see large size image).
