The small island of Thoddoo lies 10 km north from the slightly larger atoll of Rasdhoo, and 23 km northeast from Ari — to which Thoddoo and Rasdhoo are both attached for administrative purposes. 42 km directly eastwards lies the North Male atoll.
The solitary island measures 1.67 km in length, 1.2 km in width and covers an area of 1.4 km². It sits towards the northeastern end of a small and shallow lagoon that is bordered by a narrow reef rim.
