Mejit

The solitary island of Mejit is located east of the main trend line of the Ratak chain, lying 95 km due east of Ailuk and 110 km northeast from Wotje.
With an area of 1.86 km² it is one of the smallest units that comprise the Marshall Islands. The island measure some 3.5 km in length (from north to south) with typical widths of around 1 km. The island is entirely surrouned by a fringing reef system that encloses a narrow lagoon.
