Petrie Reef

Lying at the far northwestern end of the submarine Loyalty Ridge, Petrie Reef is located some 300 km northwest from Ouvéa and 115 km east from the d'Entracasteaux Reefs; the northeastern reefs of Grande Terre's barrier reef are situated 90 km to the southwest.
Récif Petrie is a small, circular-shaped, atoll-like reef with a maximum dimension of 15 km from north to south. The reef is completely submerged or awash and is open to the sea on its northwestern side.
