Haraiki is a small, uninhabited, triangular-shaped atoll of the Centre West Group located 42 km southwest from the large atoll of Marutea Nord. Measuring 7 km by 4.5 km the atoll has 3 main islets with a combined land area of just over 4 km². Its lagoon of 10.4 km² has one large opening to the open sea and is composed of two basins separated by a submarine ridge.
