Nukutuvake

Nukutuvake, located in the Centre East Group 38 km northeast from Vairaatea and 15 km northwest from Pinaki, is a low and flat coral island without a lagoon covering an area of 3.6 km². The entire island is surrounded by fringing reef with a broad fringe of coral pavement. The island is often referred to as being an atoll — although its lagoon has long since vanished.
